Pony AI Stock Surges on Analyst Optimism and Expansion Milestones
Chinese autonomous driving firm Pony AI (PONY) rallied nearly 4% Tuesday, defying a 0.6% decline in the benchmark index. The uptick followed a bullish price target revision by Goldman Sachs analyst Allen Chang, who raised his valuation to $27.70 per share—a 30% premium to current levels.
Chang cited operational breakthroughs including 24/7 service availability in select markets and Gen-7 robotaxi road tests across Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. The launch of commercial operations in Shanghai's Pudong district further cemented the company's progress toward monetization.
